What’s In My Mailbox? | Vlog Edition!

Happy Monday, friends! I was so delighted to find several letters in my mailbox (after a long, lonely week) on a very spring Saturday morning this weekend–and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Like, in person.

At long last, I’ve decided to embrace my talent for blabbing aimlessly to a camera and have thus created a YouTube channel for Sarr Trek! I’ve always wanted to play around with more video-based content, but, to be honest, I never felt comfortable with the idea of showing my face on screen until now. (And after listening to how weird my voice sounds, I’m still not quite sure I’m comfortable with it…yet!)

Writing, of course, is my first love, and videos will in no way replace my regular posts on this blog–think of my YouTube channel as a home to some bonus material that you won’t get to see here! I wanted to share this first video with you in a post, but if you’d like to see more of my vlogs in the future, please consider subscribing to my channel to make sure you don’t miss anything.

I’ll be back on Wednesday and Friday with more written posts, as usual: until then, I hope you enjoy this haul video (make sure you watch it in HD!) and the rare look it offers into the sheer number of dragons I keep on my vanity table!

(P.S. If there are any vloggers out there reading this post–particularly from the snail mail community–let me know in the comments, as I would love to check out your channel!)

  1. Your voice doesn’t sound weird at all (I think everyone believes their voice is weird when they hear it on video :D). This little snail mail video was great, you should keep doing them in the future 🙂

    • Thank you! ❤ Haha, I remember the first time I ever heard my voice on video as a kid, and I was like "THAT's me?!?!" It's a surreal experience, but always good to be reassured that everyone thinks they sound strange on tape…

      • Well I hope you do! And also, totally understand how it feels having slow snail mail weeks – in the last 2-3 weeks, think I’ve only had one letter and two postcards arrive! How I ever lasted without snail mail I don’t know xD

      • Oh nooo! Such a tragic fate! Well, at the very least, I can guarantee that there’s at least one letter on its way to you now; I hope it comes soon and breaks your slow mail cycle! 😀

      • I shall be eagerly looking forward to it! And also hoping that the upcoming holidays don’t disrupt the postal system too much and make me have to wait longer 🙂

  2. Omg, I loved it! haha I confirm that your voice isn’t weird at all – and I can also understand you quite well! 😀 You seem just super cute, but I’m going to write it soon in my reply (I’m Marinica, but I guess you’ll get it somehow) haha xx

    • Thank you so much! =) Haha I’m glad you enjoyed my strange little video! I’m working on writing you a long email back but I just wanted to say hi anyway! I’m working on a lengthy reply as I have so many DC museum stories to tell you!

      • Aww, that’s cute of you! I know it takes time to reply to super long emails, don’t worry haha 😀 Whenever you want to just say hi, you know where to find me! I can’t wait to hear your stories tho! *_* Have a lovely day!
