What’s In My Mailbox? Starry, Starry Night

It’s been a while since my last regular snail mail post – so here is an extra-resplendent pen pal roundup to compensate for lost time!

Over the past few weeks, a weird chronic pain issue has kept me from my usual bad-posture-requisite activities like blogging and making envelopes. You might have noticed that my posts are terser than usual: there’s only so much time I can spend typing until I get better!

Still, mail carries on, and I have some beautiful letters to which I can reply as soon as I become a little more limber again.

Will the day ever come when Stephanie and I stop sending each other ocean-life letters? Probably not! Though it’s not quite aquatic, that particular van Gogh painting is one of my favorites, and I’m delighted to have a handheld copy in envelope form.

As well as a mini striped dolphin that I can pin on my bulletin board at the museum!

Traveling in from magical Ireland is an equally enchanting letter from Emma!

(Yes, you’re going to see a lot of this recently-acquired golden nautilus for address censorship purposes…)

Check out this glorious assortment of washi tape!

(I was too enamored of this envelope to even open her letter yet – perhaps you’ll spot the contents in a future post!)

I could really use a little sunshine in my snowy New England life right now, and it was an utter delight to bask in the glow of this cheerful yellow letter from Nevada.

My dear sister transformed a tourist map of the Kona side of the Big Island into a very cute envelope! Notice the square featuring Mauna Kea Beach that she cut out just for me – and the hand-drawn solar system.

Continuing on this cheerful, springtime theme: I love the soft watercolor hues of this floral letter from Pennsylvania! (My friend also kindly supplied me with more of those snowglobe cut-outs, which you might recognize from a previous mail roundup. I’m an official addict!)

February is almost over, and spring awaits! Let’s hope that spring gets back into my step soon.

Yay, it arrived! I always have trouble decorating bubble envelopes for some reason – the padding seems to hinder my mail art but I tried my best to create a magical garden for that fairy 🙂
And you and Stephanie’s mail art are definitely meant for each other xD

It was SUCH a magical garden! I loved it!! And I also loved the top-secret contents of your envelope, which I have now enjoyed 🙂 Thanks so much for the escape into the land of serpents and pearls! I have never actually read any Marco Polo and can’t wait!

I had never read any Marco Polo before reading that short piece either – I was inspired to read some after watching the Netflix show xD
